Direct answer. Guilin Liangjiang International Airport runs two city express lines plus a Yangshuo coach, all leaving from outside the terminal. City routes take about 50-60 minutes and cost CNY 20; the Yangshuo coach takes about 90 minutes for CNY 50. Taxis are metered; the airport is outside the city centre.
Guilin Liangjiang Airport to the city: the two city express lines, four shuttle routes with times and fares, taxi meter rules and the rail link.
Every route, departure time, fare and duration below was read on 2 October 2026 from the official Guilin travel guide (visitguilin.org), and separately from the airport's own website. Read the source levels carefully, because they differ. The airport's own page confirms that two city express lines operate and gives the operator's ground-transport telephone number, but it publishes no timetable and no fare; the detailed schedule table used here comes from the city's official travel guide, not from the operator. That guide carries its own warning that the airport reserves the right to change the shuttle schedule. Confirm times and prices with the operator before you travel. Sources are listed at the end.
Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (桂林两江国际机场) is Guilin's airport, and its own website is published by the Guangxi Airport Management Group, the operator of the airport group that owns it. The site is Chinese-language.
Everything on this page is about getting from that airport into Guilin city, and about the onward options once you are there. It is not about flights, visa rules or hotels.
The airport's own ground-transport page states that Liangjiang International Airport has opened two city express lines ("机场快线") to carry passengers between the airport and the city, and directs passengers to the airport's Ground Transport Department on +86 773-2845355 for details.
That is the whole of what the operator publishes on the subject: a count of the lines and a telephone number. There is no timetable, no route list and no fare on the operator's page. The airport's site separates ground transport into city airport buses, intercity coaches and taxis, but only the taxi and coach sections carry further detail.
Practical consequence: the operator's own advice is to telephone. If a fixed timetable matters to your arrival, that number is the source of record, and it is the number this page would use too.
The city's official travel guide publishes a fuller table. Its routes are the ones below. All fares and durations are as that guide publishes them; times are departures as listed.
| Route | Departure times | Fare | Duration | Route telephone |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minhang Hotel (民航大厦) → airport | 06:00-21:30, every 30 minutes | CNY 20 | 50 minutes | +86 773-2845355 |

Three things the table tells you that a summary would hide:
The guide also notes, in its own words, that the airport reserves the right to change the schedule, and directs readers to the airport's site for the latest times.
The official travel guide publishes the local meter rules, which are worth knowing before you get in, because the same guide warns that you should insist the meter is used:
| Item | As published |
|---|---|
| Flag fall / first band | CNY 9 for the first 2 km, daytime |
| Beyond the first band | CNY 1.9 for each additional kilometre |
| Airport to downtown | About CNY 80, plus about CNY 10 in tolls |
| Night tariff | Higher between 23:00 and 06:00 (the guide does not publish the rate) |
The guide describes taxis in Guilin as plentiful and inexpensive, notes that drivers at taxi stands and on the street may speak some English, and states plainly that you should always require the meter.
Two honest limits on this section: the guide does not publish the night surcharge rate, the minimum fare, or a luggage rule — so neither does this page. And the airport-to-downtown figure is the guide's own estimate for the run, not a metered receipt.
The shuttle table above is a rail table as much as an airport table: one of the airport's two city express lines terminates at Guilin Railway North Station, and the operator's own site lists the service under city airport buses rather than as a rail service.
That matters for trip planning. If your onward journey is by high-speed rail, the Railway North Station route lets you go airport to station directly, without crossing the city centre first. The trade-off is frequency: the route runs ten fixed departures a day toward the airport and ten back. For how the rail network itself is booked, and what the different seat classes cost in practice, see our guides to booking high-speed rail in China.
Note what the operator does not do: it does not publish a cross-platform or through-ticket arrangement between the airport and the railway. The two are connected by a bus route, not by a ticket.
Once you are in Guilin, the official travel guide publishes the following about city buses:
For onward travel beyond Guilin:
| Destination | Where it leaves from | As published |
|---|---|---|
| Yangshuo County | Guilin Bus Station (桂林汽车站) | Express service, direct (no pick-up or set-down en route), departures every 20 minutes between 05:30 and 22:30 |
| Xing'an County (兴安) | Guilin Bus Station | Express service |
| Longsheng | Qintan Bus Station (琴潭客运站) | Daily departures; the guide advises advance booking around public holidays |
The guide adds that the Longsheng service runs daily with enough tickets normally, but that advance booking is needed during public holidays — it lists Chinese New Year, Labour Day, Qingming, Duanwu, Mid-autumn and the National Day holiday (1-7 October) by name.
Where you sleep changes which of the four shuttle routes is useful to you. Our guide to where to stay in Guilin covers the areas the city's own tourism authority lists, and the Guilin city page covers what is where. Both were built from the same family of official sources used here.
⚠️ Source-level disclosure (read this before publishing). The airport operator's own page (S2) supports only two things: the existence of two city express lines and the contact number. Every timetable, fare and duration in the table above rests on S1, the city's official travel guide, which is not the transport operator and whose page carries a 2023 copyright line with no publication date. S1 also says its own entry is the airport's text. No figure on this page was inferred, rounded or reconstructed.
⚠️ Translation. The Chinese names of the routes, the airport and the bus stations come from Chinese-language sources. The English renderings on this page are this page's own translation of those names; the Chinese original governs.
The official Guilin travel guide lists CNY 20 on each of the three city routes — Minhang Hotel, Guilin Railway North Station and Wanfu Plaza — and CNY 50 on the Yangshuo Bus Station route. The airport operator's own page publishes no fare at all and directs passengers to telephone the Ground Transport Department on +86 773-2845355, so treat the published fares as the guide's figures and confirm them with the operator.
The official travel guide lists 50 minutes on the Minhang Hotel route and 60 minutes on the Guilin Railway North Station and Wanfu Plaza routes. The Yangshuo coach is listed at 90 minutes. These are the guide's published durations, not live traffic times.
Yes. One of the airport's two city express lines runs between the airport and Guilin Railway North Station (火车北站) — ten fixed departures a day in each direction, listed in the table above. That is the route to take if you are connecting to high-speed rail.
The official travel guide gives the airport-to-downtown run as about CNY 80 plus about CNY 10 in tolls, against a local meter of CNY 9 for the first 2 km and CNY 1.9 for each additional kilometre in the daytime. The guide does not publish the night rate (23:00-06:00), only that it is higher, and it advises passengers to insist that the meter is used.
Yes — the official travel guide lists a coach between the airport and Yangshuo Bus Station, eight departures a day in each direction, CNY 50 and about 90 minutes. The guide's own bus page separately notes that the Yangshuo express service from Guilin Bus Station runs every 20 minutes between 05:30 and 22:30 and is direct, with no pick-up or set-down en route.
