Direct answer. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has two terminals. Terminal 2 is served by metro Line 10 and Line 3; Terminal 3 is served by Line 10 only. The K01 airport express bus runs to Jiefangbei for 15 yuan. Long-distance coaches leave from a coach station at each terminal.
Chongqing Jiangbei Airport to the city: metro Lines 10 and 3 airport stations with first and last trains, distance-based fares, the K01 express bus, coaches and parking.
Every fare, timetable, address and route on this page was retrieved on 26 September 2026 from the airport operator's and the metro operator's own pages, listed at the end.
Chongqing's international gateway is Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The airport operator publishes its ground-transport information under the Traffic Guide section of its own site, and the metro operator publishes the network timetable and fare policy separately. Everything on this page comes from one of those two publishers.
| Terminal | Metro lines that serve it | Airport express bus | Long-distance coaches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Terminal 2 (T2) | Line 10 and Line 3 | K01 to Jiefangbei | T2 coach station, Terminal 2 level 1, between gates 4 and 5 |
| Terminal 3 (T3) | Line 10 only | K01 to Jiefangbei | T3 coach station, Integrated Transport Hub level 2 |
Two practical points follow from that table and are worth reading before you book anything else:
The airport operator states the metro position in one line: Terminal 2 is on Line 10 and Line 3; Terminal 3 is on Line 10. Both airport stations carry descriptive names in the metro network — Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 (Jiangbei Jichang T2 Hangzhanlou) and Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3 (Jiangbei Jichang T3 Hangzhanlou) — so check the station name on the signage rather than assuming that a station called "airport" means your terminal.
Line 10 runs 27 stations from Lanhualu in the south-west across the city centre to Wangjiazhuang in the north-east, and passes both terminals in sequence:
| Order | Station (Line 10, Lanhualu to Wangjiazhuang) |
|---|---|
| 1-18 | Lanhualu, Nanhu, Wanshoulu, Nanping, Houbao, Qixinggang, Dalitang, Zengjiayan, Liyuchi, Hongtudi, Longtousi Park, Chongqing North Railway Station South Square, Chongqing North Railway Station North Square, Minxin Jiayuan, Sanyawan, Shangwanlu, Huanshan Park, Changhe |
| 19 | Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3 |
| 20 | Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 |
| 21-27 | Yubei Square, Lushan, Central Park East, Central Park, Central Park West, Yuelai, Wangjiazhuang |
Line 3 is the longer line, running from Yudong in the south to the airport in the north, with further stations beyond the airport on a northern section. Running inwards from the airport towards the city centre, the operator's own station list runs:
| From the airport (Line 3) | Stations in order towards the city centre |
|---|---|
| Airport to Guanyinqiao | Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2, Bijin, Shuanglong, Huixing, Changfulu, Cuiyun, Garden Expo Park, Yuanyang, Jintonglu, Jinyu, Tongjia Yuanzi, Longtousi, Chongqing North Railway Station South Square, Shiziping, Tangjia Yuanzi, Zhengjia Yuanzi, Jiazhou Road, Hongqi Hegou, Guanyinqiao |
| Guanyinqiao to Nanping | Huaxinjie, Niujiaotuo, Lianglukou, Tongyuanju, Gongmao, Nanping |
For a hotel in the Guanyinqiao or Hongqi Hegou area, Line 3 from Terminal 2 is the more direct of the two lines. For the Lianglukou and Nanping side, Line 3 continues through both. Some Line 3 services on the network terminate at a so-called "short-run" terminus rather than at the end of the line — the operator's timetable distinguishes a full-route last train from a half-route last train, and both are shown below.
The metro operator publishes these times in its own timetable, one row for each airport station. Weekday and holiday (that is, public-holiday) columns differ, so both are given.
| Station | Direction | Weekday first | Weekday last | Holiday first | Holiday last |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Line 10 — Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3 | Towards Wangjiazhuang | 06:35 | 23:48 | 06:35 | 23:49 |
| Line 10 — Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3 | Towards Lanhualu | 06:30 | 00:03 | 06:30 | 23:23 |
| Line 10 — Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 | Towards Wangjiazhuang | 06:38 | 23:51 | 06:30 | 23:53 |
| Line 10 — Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 | Towards Lanhualu | 06:32 | 00:00 | 06:35 | 23:20 |
| Line 3 — Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 | Towards Yudong (full route) | 06:00 | 22:30 | 06:00 | 23:30 |
For Line 10, the operator's table also lists a weekday late service that terminates at the airport rather than continuing: the last train towards Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 leaves Terminal 3 at 00:48. That is a train arriving at the airport, not a train you can board to leave the airport, which is why it is not in the table above.
The airport operator publishes a simpler version of the same information, and it does not match the metro table in every line. Its rail page gives Line 10 at T3 towards Lanhualu as 06:38-23:23 on weekdays and 06:33-23:23 at weekends, towards Wangjiazhuang as 06:30-23:49 weekday and 06:35-23:49 weekend, and Line 3 from T2 as 06:30-22:30 on weekdays and weekends alike. The metro operator's row for Line 3 at the airport shows a first train at 06:00 — half an hour earlier than the airport's page.
| Item | Airport operator's page | Metro operator's timetable |
|---|---|---|
| Line 10, T3, towards Lanhualu, weekday start | 06:38 | 06:30 |
| Line 3, T2, weekday start | 06:30 | 06:00 |
| Line 3, T2, weekday last full-route train | 22:30 | 22:30 |
Both publishers tell you to check before you travel — the airport's page adds that if the timetable changes, the metro operator's published version governs. Treat the earlier of the two published times as your planning number, and do not build a tight connection on a last train.
Chongqing Metro prices by distance travelled, and the metro operator publishes the whole band table. Urban rail fares exclude the suburban railways (Jiangtiao line and Bitong line), which are priced separately.
| Distance travelled | Ordinary single fare |
|---|---|
| 0-4 km inclusive | 2 yuan |
| 4-8 km inclusive | 3 yuan |
| 8-12 km inclusive | 4 yuan |
| 12-17 km inclusive | 5 yuan |
| 17-23 km inclusive | 6 yuan |
| 23-30 km inclusive | 7 yuan |
| 30-40 km inclusive | 8 yuan |
| 40-55 km inclusive | 9 yuan |
| Above 55 km | 1 yuan for each additional 20 km |
The airport is a long way from the city centre, so budget for the upper bands rather than the 2-yuan starting fare.
| Discount the operator publishes | Who it applies to | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly cumulative spend | Holders of the local transport card or its app codes | 10% off while monthly spend is under 100 yuan, 30% off after 100 yuan, 50% off after 200 yuan |
| Weekday early entry | Same card and app holders | 30% off when entering a station before 07:00 on a weekday |
| Fixed-number rides | Holders of the operator's own app code | Free on the 40th, 50th and 60th ride in a calendar month |
| One-hour bus interchange | Ordinary and concession cards | One free or discounted bus transfer within one hour, capped at 2 yuan per transfer |
| Children | Height 1.3 m and under | Free travel, accompanied by a guardian for pre-school children |
Two rules matter to a visitor. First, discounts do not stack: where more than one applies, the largest single discount is used. Second, the one-hour interchange benefit excludes tickets bought with cash and holders of free, student and staff cards, and one card can only carry one person through the benefit.
The airport operates one express bus line, numbered K01, running between the airport and Jiefangbei, the city-centre district. The airport's own page gives the full details:
| Item | K01 as published by the airport |
|---|---|
| Route, outbound | T3 Terminal - Jiazhou Garden - Damiao - Shangqingsi - Dalitang - Jiefangbei |
| Route, return | Jiefangbei - Dalitang - Shangqingsi - Jiazhou Garden - T3 Terminal |
| Route length | About 40 km |
| Journey time | About 65 minutes one way |
| Departures from the airport | From 08:30 until 30 minutes after the last arriving flight |
| Waiting rule | After the first passenger boards, the longest wait is 30 minutes |
| Departures from Jiefangbei | No fixed timetable; telephone enquiry |
| Fare | 15 yuan per person |
| Telephone | 023-67910674 |
Two details are worth knowing in advance. The return leg from Jiefangbei has no fixed departure times, so it is not a service you can plan a schedule around — call the number on the airport's page. And the bus stops at Jiefangbei plus four intermediate points, so it is a city-centre service rather than a general stop-anywhere airport shuttle.
The airport has not one coach station but two, both inside the airport boundary, and the operator describes them as a paired operation: you may buy at either and board at the one nearest your terminal.
| Coach station | Location | Opening hours |
|---|---|---|
| T2 coach station | Terminal 2, level 1, between gates 4 and 5 | 06:30-21:40 |
| T3 coach station | Integrated Transport Hub, level 2 | 06:30-21:30 |
The airport publishes the route lists rather than a fixed timetable, and states that the actual service depends on current operation:
| Route type | Destinations listed by the airport |
|---|---|
| Inter-provincial | Suining, Linshui, Luzhou, Zigong, Langzhong, Dazhu, Tongjiang, Xuanhan, Neijiang, Guang'an, Wusheng, Nanchong, Yingshan, Jincheng, Bazhong, Anyue, Dazhou, Yibin, Yuechi, Shehong, Huaying, Zheng'an, Longchang |
| Within Chongqing municipality | Nanchuan, Tongnan, Dianjiang, Dazu, Hechuan, Tongliang, Baisha, Qijiang, Jiangjin, Yongchuan, Wansheng, Fuling, Changshou, Rongchang, Bishan, Beibei |
The coach enquiry number published by the airport is 023-67153484.
Both car parks publish their fees with the official pricing document numbers, which makes them straightforward to check.
| Car park | Location | Area and capacity | Published rates |
|---|---|---|---|
| T2 car park | In front of Terminal 2 | About 79,000 sq m, 2,024 spaces | Small vehicles and three-wheeled motorcycles: 5 yuan for up to one hour, then 2 yuan per additional half hour, capped at 50 yuan per 24 hours. Two-wheeled motorcycles: 2 yuan for up to one hour, then 1 yuan per additional half hour, capped at 20 yuan per 24 hours. Large and medium vehicles: 8 yuan for up to one hour, then 2 yuan per additional half hour, capped at 60 yuan per 24 hours. Document cited on the page: Yufagai Shoufei 2024 No. 1076 |
| GTC car park | In front of Terminal 3A | About 220,000 sq m, 4,400 spaces | Under 15 minutes: free. Up to 30 minutes: 3 yuan. Up to one hour: 8 yuan. After one hour: 2.5 yuan per additional half hour, capped at 80 yuan per 24 hours. Document cited on the page: Yujia Han 2018 No. 92 |
Both pages add the same electric-vehicle policy: for new-energy vehicles the first two hours of parking each day are free, and anything beyond two hours is charged at half the rate above. After the first 24 hours, charging restarts on the same scale.
This is the one part of the journey the airport does not document in text. Its Traffic Guide section currently lists six pages — airport bus operation, airport area map, airport buses, car parks, the long-distance interchange centre and rail transit — and none of them publishes a taxi or ride-hailing pick-up point, a fare table or a meter rule. The airport area map page is an image, with no text transcription on the page itself.
So this page does not state a taxi kerb, a fare or a journey time for Chongqing. What it does state is that the airport's own published channels do not carry those figures, which means an older third-party guide may be quoting something the operator has since moved. Follow the signage at the terminal, and treat any specific taxi price you read elsewhere as unverified unless it comes from the airport, the metro operator or the municipal pricing authority.
| Your situation | The option the published information supports |
|---|---|
| Arriving at T3, hotel near Guanyinqiao or the city centre | Metro Line 10; Line 3 does not reach T3 |
| Arriving at T2, hotel in Guanyinqiao or Hongqi Hegou | Metro Line 3, which runs inwards through both districts |
| Arriving at T2, hotel in Nanping or Lianglukou | Metro Line 3 continues through both |
| Going straight to Jiefangbei with luggage, or arriving late at night | The K01 express bus, 15 yuan, about 65 minutes, running until 30 minutes after the last arrival |
| Continuing to another city in the region | A long-distance coach from the T2 or T3 coach station |
| Driving, or being collected by car | The T2 car park or the GTC car park, both with published capped rates |
| Staying inside the airport boundary | The free terminal shuttle between T3, T2 and T1 |
Before you travel, pair this page with two practical guides: how to pay in China with Alipay as a foreigner and whether you need an eSIM or a physical SIM. For the rail side of a longer trip, our guide to booking China high-speed rail tickets covers the ticketing rules that apply to foreign passports. If Chongqing is one stop on a longer route, compare Chengdu airport to the city, Shenzhen airport to the city and Guangzhou airport to the city, or start from the Transport hub.
Yes. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has two metro stations: Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2, served by Line 10 and Line 3, and Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3, served by Line 10 only. Terminals 2 and 3 are also linked by a free shuttle bus that runs four times a day.
Fares are distance-based: 2 yuan for up to 4 km, then rising through bands to 9 yuan at 40-55 km, and 1 yuan for each further 20 km. The airport is well outside the city centre, so expect a fare in the upper bands rather than the 2-yuan minimum.
The airport operates express bus line K01 between the airport and Jiefangbei: about 40 km, about 65 minutes, 15 yuan per person, departing from 08:30 until 30 minutes after the last arriving flight, with a maximum 30-minute wait after the first passenger boards. The return leg from Jiefangbei has no fixed timetable, so call 023-67910674.
There are two coach stations: the T2 station on Terminal 2 level 1 between gates 4 and 5, open 06:30-21:40, and the T3 station on level 2 of the Integrated Transport Hub, open 06:30-21:30. The airport lists inter-provincial destinations including Luzhou, Nanchong, Yibin, Dazhou and Zigong, and municipal destinations including Fuling, Yongchuan, Jiangjin and Hechuan, but states that the actual service depends on current operation.
Yes, in two car parks. The T2 car park has about 2,024 spaces and charges small vehicles 5 yuan for the first hour, then 2 yuan per half hour, capped at 50 yuan per 24 hours. The GTC car park in front of Terminal 3A has about 4,400 spaces and charges 3 yuan for up to 30 minutes, 8 yuan for up to an hour, then 2.5 yuan per half hour, capped at 80 yuan per 24 hours. Both apply a first-two-hours-free policy for new-energy vehicles each day.
